Home Office {Sun Prairie, Wisconsin Photographer}

I’m so excited to finally be able to make this post!  Over the New Year’s holiday I embarked on a BIG project.  I completely made over my home office.  2011 taught me MANY things about my work flow and time management.  I was able to take everything that I learned throughout the year and make it work for me – ok, and I decorated it cute too:)

I found the desk on Craigs’s List for $20 and painted it a bright burnt orange.  All the paint was from Sherwin Williams  I really wanted a bright pop of color and think I nailed it!  The frames above it are from Organic Bloom and the print is a metal print.  The white dresser was old – from my husband’s bachelor pad and I painted and distressed it.  The knobs are all different and from Anthropologie.

I took the closet doors out and made it into a packaging station. The curtains are from Overstock.

When you walk into the room, immediately to the right is my “dump station” – when I come home from weddings or shoots, I have about 6 different bags, purses, etc. and practicality won over cuteness here. I wanted a place when I could dump everything and have it be out of the way. The end table is from Ikea and again is practical. It’s light enough where it can double as another table – especially useful if my second shooter needs to set up a lap top, etc.

The frames are from Good Will and painted the same color orange as the desk.  I’m obsessed with fun file folders too!  I get a lot of them from Paper Style.

The dresser drawers hold extra packaging supplies, props, frame samples, thank you cards, price lists, brochures and more!

One of my favorite things in the office is this little pencil holder I “found” at my husband’s mom’s house… he had made this for his mom when he was in boy scouts over 20 years ago! My favorite part of it is the spider drawing on the side.

Yes, those are Kelly Moore bags!  The brown one is the Juju and the mustard yellow is the Posey.  The big black bag underneith is a Lowepro Magnum 650AW.

Of course I need an office greyhound … she is laying on a rug I got from TJ Maxx.
