What a busy weekend! Shooting galore plus my mom and sister came down for our annual “get me ready for the New Year” festivus, which consists of crafting, wine and a lot of junk food (not necessarily in that order)! Basically we put everything together for the upcoming year for my packaging: tags, pocket folds, vendor folders, wedding planners and more.
As a business stand point, I’ll touch base on the convenience factore. We put EVERYTHING together this weekend. Doing it all at once makes my workflow substantially faster during the year. Instead of making my packaging after each shoot: cutting twine, stamping tags, putting together print releases, etc. now I just grab and go. Last year I made the mistake of not making enough and in September I ran out of materials! It was a huge pain in the butt to make everything cute after each shoot and as a result, I got frustrated. It was a huge time waster and took me away from my husband and family. After this weekend I guarantee that this will not happen again![]()
My kraft mailers are from Uline. I get two sizes THIS one (great for 5×7 prints) and THIS one (perfect for 8X10 prints). The circle tags are the ”stained grungy tags” from the Kraft Paper Outlet and the little bird stamp I got custom made from an Etsy seller (more information below). I always have stacks of kraft paper and vellum for various projects that come up through the year (from Paper and More). The other paper is patterend cardstock from Archivers or Michaels.
Random fact: The ONLY twine I will buy comes from Hobby Lobby. It is soft and lovely as other brands and stores are hard and don’t tie as well.
Everyone who follows my blog probably knows that I LOVE Etsy! So it should come to no surprise that I need to report another amazing find. I purchased a bunch of stamps from The Rubber Stamp Press. I got a little 1″ bird that is on my grungy tags, a vintage camera that is used in my branding, my tagline “refurbished memories” and “The Salty Peanut Photography.” I got the wooden handle for all of them. They are very well made and I cannot even begin to describe all of the uses I have found to use my fun stamps! Ha! My go to ink is Stazon in Timber Brown.
Hope everyone else had a great weekend!

That looks amazing Bobbi! You’re definitely going to have some impressed clients with this!
Love, love, love it Bobbi!!!! BTW, where did you get the packaging in the very last photo? What type of envelope is that called?
Thanks guys! Ashley – that’s just the back of one of the mailers from Uline I referenced. Although I have actually bought regular kraft envelopes from Paper and More before and LOVE them!
So smart & beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
