“Life, from time to time, needs a jump start. It needs to be restored, or reinvigorated. Refurbished.
In a sense life, everyone’s life, needs to be brightened, fresh or made new again.”

It seems like a lifetime ago when those words defined who I was as a person and as a new business owner (click HERE for the entire Refurbished Memories post). Terrified doesn’t even begin to describe that time in my life. Photography has completely changed who I am and how I look at life. I can’t believe how far I have come and where my business is heading.
This past week I had the honor to learn from one of the best photographer’s in the industry. I have followed Clayton Austin for as long as I can remember. When the opportunity presented itself in the form of a workshop, I dove in and never looked back. My husband and I get to San Antonio fairly often (close friends live there). Imagine my surprise and delight to discover that Kyle is just north of San Antonio! Clayton Austin AND a vacation!? Sign me up!
I will never stop learning. To those of you who are creative individuals, you understand my longing to be around other like minded individuals. We literally feed off of each other. Workshops are an excellent way to meet new people, get out of a rut and to push yourself to the next level. I’m a firm believer that no matter where you are in your career, who you are or what you bring to the table, you can benefit in some way by making the time to continue your education and never stop learning.
Clayton’s workshop did not disappoint as I came back to Wisconsin rejuvenated and stuffed full of inspiration and ideas. To say I had a great time would be an understatement! Clayton is an amazing person, photographer and business man. I could not be happier with my visit to Kyle (and Buda) Texas![]()
Here are some images that I took during the live shoot portion of the workshop! All images were taken on a Canon Mark II paired with my Canon 50mm f/1.2 and Canon 45mm f/2.8 tilt shift lenses (two of my absolute favorite lenses!).

Holy cow, those are beautiful. If I could take pictures like that, I don’t think anyone would be able to pry my camera out of my hands. Like, ever
